The difference between Deadbreak Connectors and Loadbreak Connectors

The difference between Deadbreak Connectors and Loadbreak Connectors

Application

● Realize the connection of single-phase or three-phase insulated cables and transformers, switch cabinets, branch boxes and other equipment through 630A prefabricated connectors.

● Suitable for indoor and outdoor installation.

● Maximum system voltage 24kV

● Continuous rated current 630A (900A overload can last 8 hours)

● Cable characteristics

-Polymer insulation (XLPE, ERP, etc.)

-Copper or aluminum conductor -Has semi-conductive or metal shield -Conductor size: 12kV 25-400mm2    24kV 25-400mm2

■ Performance

● When matched with a suitable casing or plug, a fully shielded and fully sealed separable connection is provided;

● It can be operated under water and other terible conditions for a long time;

● The built-in capacitance test point is used to determine the live state of the line and must be used in conjunction with a live display;

● There is no minimum safety distance requirement between phases;

● The installation can be vertical, horizontal or any angle.

Installation

● No need for any special tools, straps or padding;

● After the cable connector is installed to the relevant component, it is energized and operated immediately;

● Provide conventional assembly parts and installation instructions.

Product structure:

1. Stud bolts: stainless steel bolts ensure that the conductor and the casing are closely matched.

2. Insulation layer: The unique formula and mixing technology ensure the high quality of prefabricated EPDM insulating rubber.

3. Insulator: The epoxy resin insulator contains threaded metal parts to ensure a close fit with the studs.

4. Capacitance test point: Capacitance test point is used to test whether the circuit is live.

5. Test point cover: The prefabricated EPDM conductive test point cover protects the test point and grounds it during normal operation.

6. Inner semi-conductive layer: prefabricated EPDM conductive rubber can effectively control electrical stress.

7. Adaptor: Stress cones of different sizes are used with cable joints to ensure water sealing and cable stress release.

8. Grounding eye: pre-injected into the outer shield for the connection of the grounding wire.

9. Simi-conductive Shield: the prefabricated EPDM conductive rubber is overlapped with the cable shielding layer to make the shield continuous, and to ensure that the outer semi-conductive layer is in a grounded state.

10. Conductor Cable Lug: all-copper or copper-aluminum crimp terminals are suitable for copper or aluminum conductors.
